It really looks like her parents were Samuel Spears c1769 IRE d 1856-10-23 Columbia Co NY + Nancy
(unknown) (see below). However, I can't find any documents to prove it.
Sam Sr did not leave a will, and the Columbia Co Surrogate Court does not have a record of his estate
settlement. His wife died before he did. I don't know if she left a will, but it's unlikely.
I found an obituary index for Columbia Co, and Sam Jr and William are both listed. Unfortunately, the local
paper, the Chatham Courier, has copies of issues only back to 1880. William died in 1874, so his obit is
not available from them. Sam Jr died in 1885, but a fire destroyed the archive's issues for that year, so his
obit is also not available.
Sam Sr had a daughter Elizabeth c1813 who died unmarried. He had a few other daughters, but I don't
know what their names were.

There are no Spears families in Tazewell Co in 1840. Ambrose and Lamira were married there, so I assume her parents also lived there. Perhaps they have died by 1840.

There are no Spears families in Tazewell Co in 1830. In Sangamon Co, not too far away, is a George
Spears 50-60 with a daughter 15-20. In Madison Co is John Speers, and in Morgan Co is Wm Spears, but
neither of these has a daughter 15-20. In New York there are 9 Spears, 3 Speers, and 3 Spiers. The only
ones with a daughter 15-20 are Samuel Spears 50-60 in Columbia Co, John Spears 40-50 in Madison Co,
and Joseph Spires 40-50 in Saratoga Co. All three of those counties are fairly close to Schoharie.
